The Types of Beer Tank You Need
To start beer brewing, you’ll need a complete brewing system that fits your needs. In most cases, that means that you need more than a single tank. Additionally, each tank you select must be uniquely suited to assist you with the brewing process. Cedarstone has all of the processing equipment you need, from fermentation tanks to valves and hoses. If you aren’t quite sure what all you need to run your new production facilities, we’ll explain a few major brewery components below.
Fermentation Tank
One of the most important stain steel tanks you will need is a fermentation tank. This is where the magic happens. Inside the fermentation tank, the yeast reacts with the wort to create your beer. You need a special tank to perform this complex procedure. A fermentation tank is uniquely suited to prevent outside air and foreign particles from disrupting the process. Furthermore, a good tank will be designed to allow for easy retrieval of the yeast once it has done its job.
Yeast can be reused several times before you need to replace it. You will waste a lot of money and resources if your fermentation tank doesn’t allow you to remove and recycle your yeast after each batch. Our stainless steel fermentation tanks are ASME-certified, which means they can handle the pressure requirements for brewing. As carbon dioxide gas is released from the wort, your tank must be able to withstand the pressure. Otherwise, the gas can escape or the tank will get damaged. Furthermore, your beer won’t have any carbonation. Make sure that you get high-quality brewing equipment to ensure a great batch of beer, ever time.
Brite Tank
Once the desired alcohol content is reached, you can transfer your beer from the fermentation tank to the Brite tank. In the Brite tank, you can further adjust carbonation by adding more carbon dioxide gas. Otherwise, you can leave the beer here until you’re ready to bottle it. Our Brite tanks are designed for easy cleaning, which ensured a non-contaminated batch each time. For your convenience, our tanks also have a CIP tank spray ball installed.
CIP stands for clean-in-place and makes the cleaning and sanitization process of these massive tanks much easier. With glycol jacket insulation, our Brite tanks also offer great heat transfer capability. This allows the beer to maintain a consistent temperature. Thus, our Brite tanks can also act as serving tanks, if you want to save space and useless equipment.
Brewing Systems
Instead of buying each brewing component separately, consider one of our state-of-the-art brewing systems. Our systems are built in a range of sizes, from 2 to 4 vessels. Furthermore, you’ll get the same great quality that you would receive out of our tanks. Many craft breweries utilize our brewing systems to save space. This option can brew beer at impressive speeds. Thus, you don’t have to sacrifice efficiency to save space. Get the best of both worlds when you install one of our complete brewing systems in your brewery. Like our tanks, these tanks come with a CIP system that cleans 100% of the area inside the tanks. Other features include mash hydration capability, a trub dam, a touch screen graphic interface, and more. Learn more about our 2-, 3-, 4-vessel brewing systems.
