Cedar Stone Industry is proud to supply marijuana processing equipment for this new budding industry. As a leading stainless-steel manufacturer, we can provide the highest quality machinery. For twenty years, we have had Bluebell, Heineken, Anheuser-Busch, GEA, Tetra Pak, Coca-Cola, and GE Pharmaceutic as well as many others for clients. Today, we have started helping with cannabis extraction solutions.
As of now, it is commonplace to see a vape pen filled with hash oil, CBD oil, or another cannabis extract. Cannabidiol or CBD is only one of 113 cannabinoids found in Cannabis Sativa. However, it makes up forty percent of its active extract ingredients. THC, marijuana’s psychoactive chemical, is the other. Through extraction, we separate the CBD from the THC, and we can use the oil without any psychotropic effects. Then, the natural plant oil can help with disorders without giving mind-altering consequences.
Uses of Marijuana
Only recently, in 2019, have medical studies began with marijuana. The effectiveness of several ailments has been touted for a long time. But already, evidence has come up with ways cannabis can help alleviate symptoms.
Since research began, the FDA has approved a prescription form of marijuana to treat epilepsy. Epidolex, from marijuana’s CBD oil, helps with a couple of treatment-resistant seizures: Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome.
Other than seizures, ongoing research is coming up with promising results for other neurological disorders. While trials have been inconclusive, many with bipolar disorder find it helps with their manic episodes. A prescription nasal-spray, Sativex, helps those with multiple sclerosis with their pain and muscle stiffness. Other examples include Crohn’s disease, dystonia, fragile X syndrome, GVHD, insomnia, social anxiety, and withdrawal symptoms for nicotine, heroin, morphine, and opioids.
Athletes have also found a use for marijuana extracts. Both professionals and amateurs began using CBD oil to aid their game. In 2018, the World Anti-Doping Agency removed the substance from its list of banned substances. Afterward, many professional athletes started endorsing CBD oil to help with pain and promoting specific athletic CBD oil companies. The NHL Alumni Association is supporting research to find out if players left with significant head injuries can benefit from its effects.
Marijuana Extraction Process
There are many steps the marijuana extraction process involves. Fortunately, Cedar Stone Industry supplies equipment for every one of them. To ensure the highest quality product, your manufacturer should make sure that their process is running smoothly and using the best quality marijuana processing equipment.
We offer closed-loop low-pressure ethanol extraction systems for your CBD oil and plant oil extraction. This hardware is durable, so it is made to last significantly longer than others. Above all, our relay of equipment will take you through all the marijuana processing steps, from extraction to crystallization to distillation. You can see each of the steps we support below.
- Extraction
- Centrifugal Extraction
- Winterization
- Solvent Recovery
- Decarboxylation
- Distillation
- Crystallization
- Chromatography
Cedarstone Industry’s Marijuana Processing System
For your company’s marijuana extract processing needs, we have the perfect system available. Cedar Stone Industry uses the CEX Extraction Systems, so clients get the best products possible. Our marijuana processing equipment is exceptional when it comes to efficiency and process. In its extraction process, the ethanol solvent takes out soluble components from the biomass inside the extraction vessel. Afterward, the filtration and separation processes occur. Then, a centrifuge recovers the biomass.
We offer complete turnkey style extraction systems. Our CEX Series Extraction Systems includes:
- Pre-chilled ethanol tank modules
- Centrifugal extraction module
- Filtration skid module
- Ethanol recovery module (falling film evaporator/wiper film evaporator)
- Vacuum skid
- NEMA 4X stainless UL listed control
- Explosive Proof (Class I Division I) Intrinsically safe, ATEX/SGS Certified Control Tablet
- UL listed pumps and integrated piping
Our extraction’s control panel, the C1D1 remote control tablet, is certified by the ATEX/IECEx Zone 1, SGS to UL913C I, II, and III Division 1. It is also of a rugged purpose build and explosive proof for your Zone 1, Division 1 hazard areas.
The C1D1 remote control tablet uses a Windows OS system and Siemens application. For your high-tech convenience, it has real-time Wi-Fi connectivity so that you can control it within the safe room. It has a 10.1 inch WUXGA display and a 1920×1200 resolution. Finally, the tablet allows for up to twelve hours of browsing, has a three and a half hours of docking charge time, 4GB of RAM, and 128 GB for storage.
Our Other Marijuana Processing Equipment
Our store provides marijuana processing equipment for every step of the process. For any of the others that we carry, you can check the rest of our pages:
Centrifugal Plant Oil Extractor
Inside the centrifuge, the biomass is separated. During this process, the oil is extracted at high-speed bidirectional speeds and agitated inside the rotor barrel, filled with chilled ethanol.
Molecular Distillation
Different from the traditional boiling point difference principle distillation, liquid and liquid separation rates high in safety to purify thermally unstable molecules with low volatility and high boiling points.
Decarboxylation System
CBD and THC do not naturally occur in cannabis. Instead, have to bring CBD and THC out of their precursors first. In CBD’s case, this is Cannabidiolic Acid (CBDA). Decarboxylation makes marijuana extract pharmacologically active.
Crystallization Reactor
You can distill CBD oil for high purity without sophisticated equipment with our turnkey system. However, the requirement is that you need to have already winterized and refined it to over eighty percent.
Chromatography Equipment
To separate THC from CBD, isolate and purify cannabinoids, chromatography uses a high-resolution technique of small molecules, biomolecules, and peptides. Our HPLC (high-performance liquid chromatography) machine uses infusion, injection, detection, collection, data processing, and controlling of molecules. This equipment also meets the requirements set by GMP, cGMP, and even the FDA.
