Our High-Temp Steam Hoses
Texcel’s TEX-STEAM™ FDA functions as your food-grade steam hose. Specifically made compound, Texcel designs it for the delivery of mixed steam, detergents, and potable hot water. It is perfect for sterilization and washdown of facilities in manufacturing plants and food facilities.
Food Grade Steam Hose
The TEX-STEAM™ consists of a smooth, white EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber, high-temp tubing food-grade. Its cover is a smooth, blue, cloth-impression EPDM rubber that resists abrasion, weather, and ozone. The TEX-STEAM™ uses high-strength synthetic plies for reinforcement.
Of course, we build our steam hose to hold up in high temperatures. TEX-STEAM™ works in temperatures from -40 °F to 338 °F (-40 °C to 170 °C). And it can function under anywhere from household water pressure to 105 PSI. The TEX-STEAM™ has a safety factor of 10:1.
The hose meets the FDA regulation under title 21, art.177.2600 for aqueous foods. It also meets USDA regulations.
The Texcel TEX-STEAM™ hoses we carry are 1’’ in diameter. We sell them in 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 75, and 100 feet lengths.
Our Brewery Food-Grade Tubing
For both commercial and personal breweries, Texcel provides its GROWLER™. The GROWLER™ is a heavy-duty hose made for the suction and delivery of alcohol, beer, wine, and soft drinks. It is a white, BIIR (butyl rubber) that ensures an odorless quality that does not alter the tastes of the traveling product. It uses an orange, EPDM rubber cover, and high strength synthetic plies with steel wire spirals for reinforcement.
The GROWLER™ has a safety factor of 3:1. It works under 150 PSI and in temperatures of -40 °F to 248 °F (-40 °C TO 120 °C). You can sterilize it at 230 °F for 30 minutes. It is FDA approved under title 21 art.177.2600(e), ce1935/2004 regulation, BfR, and ADI free. Always flush the hose before each initial use with a new product.
Food Grade Hoses and Stainless Steel Tubing Clamps
The GROWLER™ comes in 1’’, 1.5’’, and 2’’ diameter hoses. You can get them in 5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 75, or 100 feet lengths and any size hose with or without fittings.
Winery Hoses and Heavy-Duty Hoses
Your wine hose, the BALTHZAR™, comes from Texcel too. It is specific to wine, fruit juice, and soft drinks. The BALTHAZAR™ utilizes a smooth EPDM tube for odorless and avoids any alter to taste of the fluids. Its cover is a gray EPDM rubber. We reinforce it with high-strength synthetic plies and steel wire spirals.
The BALTHAZAR™ winery hose has a safety factor of 3:1. We make it for 150 PSI (10BAR) water pressure and -40 °F to 248 °F (-40 °C TO 120 °C) so you can sterilize it at 230 °F for thirty minutes. It is also FDA approved under the same article for liquid foods, BfR, ADI free, and CE1935/2004.
There is a second option when buying wine hoses. We also have the BALTHZAR™ HD, or heavy-duty winery hose. We corrugate this high-temp tubing food-grade hose for the most abusive conditions and applications. Instead, the BALTHAZAR™ has a white NBR (acrylonitrile butadiene rubber) tube. Over that, you have its crush-proof, corrugated, purple, EPDM tube and a clear UHMWPE cover, all to protect it from wear. Texcel reinforces it with high strength synthetic plies and polyamide spirals.
1″ Texcel BALTHAZAR HD Series Winery Hose – 5 ft – FDA Approved
This hose handles far higher pressures: 250 PSI, or 17BAR. It also comes with an antimicrobial cover. It is still FDA and USDA compliant, but always remember to flush all food-grade hoses out before the initial use.

Our Other Food-Grade Tubing
For your general food transfer needs, we carry Texcel’s ELIXIR™ distillery hose. It functions as a UHMW Food Transfer Hose. The ELIXIR™ can manage 96% of wines, beers, potable water, and other related foodstuffs. Made of a clear ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene tube and a green EPDM cover, it leaves your product without altering taste or odor. Its higher working temperature as high-temp tubing food-grade means you can sterilize it at 230 °F.
On the other hand, for sucking, we have our PVC Food-Grade Suction Hoses. Texcel’s SIGMA SERIES is perfect for wet and dry applications, including meat and poultry plants. The clear PVC and clear helix structure let you have visual confirmation of the material’s flow. And its heavy corrugation gives the hose high flexibility.
